Planning and Analysis

Test plan is a document describing the scope, approach, objectives, resources, and schedule of a software testing effort.The Test Analysis Report documents software testing unit/module, subsystem integration, system, user acceptance, and security - as defined in the test plan.

Testcase & Environmental setup

Test case prioritization focuses on finding a suitable order of execution of the test cases in a test suite to meet some performance goals like detecting faults early. It is likely that some test cases execute the program parts that are more prone to errors and will detect more errors if executed early during the testing process.

Test Execution

Once the test case is passed then same can be marked as Passed. If any test case is failed then corresponding defect can be reported to developer team via bug tracking system & bug can be linked for corresponding test case for further analysis. Once the bug fixed by development team then same test case can be executed based on your test planning.

Test Cycle Closure

Call out the testing team member meeting & evaluate cycle completion criteria based on Test coverage, Quality, Cost, Time, Critical Business Objectives, and Software.
